Here we have a really nice example of 1 7 1/4" gauge Bagnall to the published design by MJ Engineering. All the lovely details are here on this one, she has full Bagnall Price valve gear all nicely machined, good rivet detailing on the platework, even the manifold dome and cab fittings are nicely done. The professionally made steel boiler by Gloucester Steam & Traction Co in 2005 and then re-tubed by them in 2015 has seen very limited use over the last few years, and of course comes with a fresh set of hydraulic and steam tests.
Lubrication is mechanical, and the loco is fitted with an injector, an axle pump with footplate mounted bypass valve and of course a hand pump on the footplate.
As with most of our models, what you see isn't necessarily what you get!
We often photograph models pretty much as they come in to us, and then when someone phones to say they are interested we pull the model into our workshops and make sure everything is tested, sorted and ready to go. So if you see the odd model photograph with a fitting missing or a return crank in the wrong place, that's just how it came in and certainly not how it will leave.
